Dr. Steven D. Muckey is the founder, Chief Dental Officer and Managing Director of TLC Dental. Dr. Muckey has been a licensed and practicing dentist since 1980, and has developed and successfully operated several dental practices and dental management companies. Dr. Muckey’s most recent commendation is the 2017 “Small Business Person Of The Year” awarded by the Dania Beach Chamber of Commerce. In addition, his talented team at TLC Dental-Dania, LLC was awarded 2017 Small Business Of The Year.

He served as a clinical research evaluator with Dr. Gordon Christensen for over 17 years, and for the past 26 years has been the only Florida licensed dentist that is certified by the California Association of Dental Plans as a quality assurance consultant. Quality improvement and quality management protocols in all TLC Dental practices are inherent to their culture.
An Able Toastmaster Bronze, Dr. Muckey has lectured internationally to dental school faculty and is now frequently requested to speak in South Florida-with his favorite topic being “The Mouth Body Connection”. Dr. Muckey served four years as a Clinical Adjunct Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, and for more than 15 years has been a member of a credentialing committee for one of the largest insurance companies in the nation. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Atlantic Coast District Dental Society, the Broward County Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Georgetown University Alumni Association of Ft. Lauderdale. Dr. Muckey volunteers his services for numerous healthcare and wellness related events throughout South Florida. He lives vicariously through the success of his team.
Rosa was born in the Dominican Republic. She moved to New Jersey at the young age of three years old. Rosa has over ten years of experience in the dental field. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration in 2012, which gave her the background to become a fantastic team leader.
She finds it extremely rewarding to help others and inspires growth in her team on a constant basis. "Dentistry is about prevention and educating our patients to achieve an optimal healthy smile! I love working with the patients to achieve this."
She is recently married, loves to cook delicious meals for her and the hubby and was so excited to conquer her goal to run in the 2020 Miami half marathon.

Christy, born and raised in Miami, FL, has been in the orthodontic field for over 20 years! She is fluent in Spanish and takes great pride in her work as the “Mama Bear" of her amazing team.
Her greatest joy is celebrating, side-by-side, the smile transformations of our patients. Being able to assist in building confidence, brightening smiles and making treatment affordable is a few of her key roles. Her upbeat and genuine demeanor shines daily and we are so lucky to have her as part of our dental family.
She has two beautiful kids, who will need braces real soon! She recently acquired a new family member, Ace, her adorable Frenchie. Still to be determined if Ace needs braces - LOL.
Melissa was born and raised in Newark, NJ before coming to Florida in 2014 and soon after joining the TLC Family.
She absolutely loves her position at TLC Dental. Her passion is exemplified in the enthusiasm and joy she brings to each patient that walks through our doors. Melissa's vast knowledge of skills ranges from treatment planning, insurance verification, processing of dental claims, financial assistance/guidance, training, specialty coordination, and leading her team to excellence!
Interacting with patients, instilling their trust, building long-lasting relationships, and improving others' health is truly her calling. TLC Dental is her home away from home and considers her team as part of her family!
Away from her TLC family, she believes family time, with her hubby and five little ones (yes 5!), is the best time, and can't get enough hours in the day with them.
Laura, a native Floridian, has worked in the dental field for 10 years. Her affection for dentistry stems from the ability to witness real-life smile transformations daily. Seeing patients go through their smile journey and leaving with a whole new confident demeanor is her utmost joy.
She gets the ultimate hands-on experience working with patients. The journey starts from welcoming them to our dental family, creating a customized treatment plan and continuing to assist with the progression and maintenance of their oral health and well being.
She has two adorable children and loves going on new adventures with the kids on the weekends and doing D.I.Y projects. Oh, and we have to mention that she loves her tacos!

Ursula, raised in Peru, completed her dental studies in 2001. Having that education and experience as a dentist has greatly enhanced her career. Along with her great personality, she has the clinical knowledge and skills to effectively work with patients in facilitating any necessary treatment.
Coming to the United States in 2002, she started as a dental assistant for the next six years. Later, she joined the TLC Family as a treatment plan coordinator . She loves her career because she gets the chance to improve patient's smiles while helping regain their confidence.
Ursula is always available to our patients and welcomes them as friends. When not at the office, she is enjoying family time with her husband of seventeen years and her beautiful daughter.
